I am highly uninterested in receiving or responding to flame notes and trolling. Conversely, feel free to posts any comments or concerns here which are courteous and intelligible. I shall gladly respond to them at my earliest convenience. "But mun, Hitler was a horrible person!" I'm aware. So are 90% of comic-book and movie villains; but that doesn't stop anyone from playing them. How am I any more or less disturbed than someone who can wrap their mind around a fictional villain? Triggers caused by crimes in fiction can be just as harmful as those caused by reality. The only difference in playing a historical figure is I have more responsibility to accurately capture the true essence of the human soul, rather than simply tap into a creatively-construed muse. Why play someone historical? Because I like history, and I believe much can be learned from character studies - especially pertaining to those who actually walked this Earth. That, for me, is enough justification and all you will be getting out of me. If you have more to say after reading this which this notice does not hope to extinguish, please proceed. | |
